Given the enormous size of Ilha do Guajirú, the Main Lagoon and the Dunes all participants of the many watersports respect the area’s defined for swimming, especially the area’s in front of the pousada’s and barraca´s of Praia da Barra and Praia do Guajirú.

A consistent water temperature of 26 Degrees C. and air temperature of between 28 and 34 Degrees C. with no less than 8 hours of sunshine per day, is not what Ilha do Guajirú can promise but what it guarantees!

At low tide go out in front of Barraca da Toca and cross the Main Lagoon swimming, to reach the deserted white-sanded beach and the Dunes with the ocean on the other side.

Or try out the shallow and excellent swimming water of the Pearl Lagoon, located at the down wind end the Dunes in front of Praia do Guajirú and bath in privacy, with only the noise of birds and the sea from around you.
