The island’s main beach, called Praia da Barra , known by the locals as “Mulheres da Areia” (‘the women of the sand’), is located at the end of Ilha do Guajirú’s main, arrival road.

This extremely nice, white sanded beach is lagoon front and the place where you will find all major activities and facilities such as barraca’s (beachbars), restaurants and pousada’s.

The water is bluer then you could possibly dream of.

Sign in at a waterfront pousada and launch your kite right from bed!

Or if you prefer so, walk 100 mtr upwind and board at the wooden cabana's of Casa da Bruxa and sleep in Italian styled, very nicely designed huts.

Have breakfast in the restaurant uphill, overlooking the Main Lagoon, the Dunes and finally the sea, a truly magnificient view.
